Architects EXYZT have constructed a 16 metre-high temporary windmill in Dalston, London. The vertical-axle windmill, which turns at approx. 60 rpm, powers a grinding machine and battery operated LED lighting system. 'The idea was to open a public space with proper public facilities,' said Nicolas Henninger of EXYZT. 'The gardener says we will be able to harvest [the wheat] in the next two weeks. We will grind it with our little machine - it will take some time - and bake it on site.'
