Entertaiment

Entertaiment is the ability to make people feel good by giving them something they enjoy. It’s a human need and entertainment has proven to be one of the most universally accessible art forms ever created. It also seems to have a very limitless potential for remix across different media and has displayed a remarkable consistency of form, imagery, and structure that is often quite timeless.

Definition of Entertaiment

From Middle English entretenement, from Old French entretenir, based on Latin inter- “inside” (see inter-) + tenir “to hold” (from tenere, derived from the Indo-European root ten, meaning to stretch). Sense of “maintain, support” is late 15c; that of “gratify, amuse” is 16c. The suffix -ment is a common one on Latin verb stems, as in amazement, betterment, and merriment.
