Something that enthralls or delights, gives pleasure, or causes one to forget troubles. Entertaiment can include a range of activities from solving the daily crossword to attending a lavish ball. It can also refer to the act of entertaining or to a particular entertainment event, such as a play or opera.

Many forms of entertainment have come to be associated with amusement, although they can have a deeper purpose, such as ceremonial or religious festivals or satire. Entertainments can be adapted to any scale, from private amusements for two people to performances for thousands of people. Entertaiment stimulates the brain to realease seratonin and dopamine wich can give a good feeling considering our brains are evolved for it.
